Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is a synthetic amino acid-based anionic surfactant synthesized by acylation and neutralization of lauric acid and sarcosinate raw materials. It possesses amphipathic molecular structure with lipophilic lauroyl group and hydrophilic sarcosinate sodium group.
Mechanically, it reduces surface tension of aqueous systems rapidly, encapsulates oil dirt via micelle formation and emulsifies sebum contaminants for easy rinsing. Its molecular arrangement forms a breathable protective film on skin and hair surface, lowering transepidermal water loss without disrupting the original skin barrier lipid structure. Meanwhile, it exhibits selective bacteriostatic activity against oral harmful bacteria and inhibits dental plaque adhesion metabolism. It features low skin penetration irritation, excellent foam stability under oil contamination, and good compatibility with anionic, nonionic and amphoteric surfactants, suitable for formula system synergistic compounding.
