Moisturizing cream is a skincare product used for the face or body, whose main function is to maintain the skin's hydrated state by replenishing moisture, locking in water, and repairing barriers. The following are its core points:
1. Definition and Basic Functions
Moisturizing cream belongs to liquid cream cosmetics, which is usually oil in water emulsifier, with water content between 20% and 80%, and texture between lotion and cream. Its core functions include:
Hydration: By using moisturizing agents such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid to absorb moisture, the moisture content of the stratum corneum is increased.
Water locking: Using sealing agents such as Vaseline and ceramide to form a protective film on the surface of the skin, reducing water evaporation.
Repair: Some products add ingredients such as ceramides and natural moisturizing factors to help repair damaged skin barriers.
2. Applicable scenarios and skin types
Season: Autumn, winter or dry environments are more suitable for using moisturizing products with strong sealing properties; Summer or oily skin can choose a refreshing type to avoid clogged pores.
Skin type:
Dry skin requires high blocking ingredients (such as squalane and shea butter);
For oily skin, it is advisable to choose moisturizing agents with light and thin texture as the main products (such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid);
Sensitive muscles should avoid irritating ingredients such as essence and alcohol.
3. Composition and classification
Moisturizing agents: glycerin, urea, hyaluronic acid, etc., responsible for absorbing water and moisturizing.
Sealing agents: Vaseline, lanolin, etc., form a water locking film.
Repairing ingredients: ceramide, squalane, etc., enhance barrier function.
Classification: According to its efficacy, it can be divided into moisturizing type (dry skin) and refreshing type (oily skin), and there are also adult and children's versions (marked with "Little Golden Shield") according to age.
4. Instructions for use
It is recommended to use it in the order of "toner → essence → lotion/moisturizing cream" after facial cleaning, and evenly smear the soybean in size. Dry leather can be used in the morning and evening, and oily leather can be used less frequently or replaced with lotion in summer.
5. Precautions
Allergic ingredients (such as methyl paraben and essence) should be avoided, and children's products should be screened more strictly.
Moisturizing cream cannot replace sunscreen, and sunscreen products should be paired with it during the day.
