Overview
Pure Stevia Extract Powder is a premium natural zero-calorie sweetener derived from the leaves of Stevia rebaudiana, widely applied in food, beverage, dietary supplement, and pharmaceutical industries globally. Different from crude stevia leaf powder, commercial pure stevia extract powder adopts standardized industrial extraction, enzymatic conversion, multi-stage purification and spray drying technologies, effectively removing bitter impurities, residual pigments and plant fibers, while retaining high-purity steviol glycosides (Reb A, Reb M, Reb D and Stevioside).
Raw Material Selection & Pre-Processing

High-quality raw materials are the foundation of high-purity stevia extract. We select mature, pest-free Stevia rebaudiana leaves with optimal glycoside content, harvested during the peak nutrient accumulation period to ensure maximum sweetness and active ingredient content.
After harvesting, raw stevia leaves undergo strict pre-treatment procedures: first, manual and mechanical screening to remove stems, weeds and deteriorated leaves; then low-temperature controlled drying (40–50℃) to reduce leaf moisture to below 10%. This low-temperature drying mode completely avoids high-temperature damage to heat-sensitive steviol glycosides, prevents active ingredient degradation, and inhibits microbial reproduction during storage. Finally, dried leaves are crushed into uniform fine fragments to increase the contact area with extraction solvent, significantly improving extraction efficiency and glycoside yield.
Advanced Water-Based Extraction
To meet global clean-label and food-safe requirements, we adopt pure water-based green extraction technology (the most mainstream and compliant process for international B-end supply), abandoning harsh chemical solvents. Food-grade purified water is used as the extraction medium, with a solid-liquid ratio strictly controlled at 1:6 to 1:10 according to industrial parameters.
The crushed stevia leaf fragments are placed in sealed stainless steel extraction tanks for constant-temperature circulating leaching. The extraction temperature is stably maintained at 55–65℃, with continuous mechanical stirring and circulating filtration to fully dissolve water-soluble steviol glycosides into the aqueous solution. Compared with traditional static soaking, this dynamic circulating extraction method increases the extraction rate of active ingredients by more than 25%, realizing full utilization of raw materials and reducing production costs for bulk orders. No chemical additives are added in this process, ensuring the final product is solvent-free, non-toxic and compliant with EU, FDA and HALAL food grade standards.
Multi-Stage Filtration & Impurity Removal
The crude stevia aqueous extract contains insoluble plant fibers, colloids, chlorophyll and macromolecular impurities, which cause bitter aftertaste and dark color. To obtain pure extract liquid, we implement three-stage precision filtration:
First, coarse filtration adopts 100–200 mesh filter cloth to remove large-particle leaf residues and plant fibers; second, precision filtration uses diatomaceous earth and activated carbon adsorption to adsorb pigments, colloidal impurities and partial bitter substances, effectively improving the clarity and taste of the extract; third, ultrafiltration membrane filtration is applied to intercept macromolecular proteins and residual impurities, while allowing small-molecule steviol glycosides to pass through efficiently. This physical impurity removal process avoids ingredient loss and ensures the purity and mild flavor of the base solution.
Enzymatic Conversion & High-Purity Purification
To upgrade product quality and meet the demand of high-end international markets for low-bitter stevia powder, we add a professional enzymatic conversion process. Food-grade cellulase and specific glycosidase are used to break down the cell wall structure of residual plant substances and convert low-quality bitter glycosides into high-sweet, low-aftertaste Reb M and Reb D components. This technology optimizes the glycoside ratio of stevia extract, making the sweetness closer to sucrose with almost no bitter or licorice aftertaste.
After enzymatic treatment, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) purification is carried out for targeted separation and enrichment of high-value steviol glycosides. This step thoroughly removes residual impurities and inferior glycosides, enabling the total glycoside content of the extract to reach 95%–99%, meeting the premium grade standards for international B-end bulk trade.
Vacuum Concentration & Sterilization
The purified stevia aqueous solution has low concentration and is not suitable for direct drying and long-term storage. We adopt low-temperature vacuum concentration technology, concentrating the extract under a vacuum environment of -0.08~-0.09MPa and 50–60℃. Low-temperature vacuum concentration avoids thermal decomposition of active ingredients, effectively removes excess water, and improves the concentration of steviol glycosides.
After concentration, high-temperature instantaneous sterilization is performed to kill bacteria, molds and other microorganisms in the solution, ensuring the microbial indicators of the product meet international food safety standards. The whole process is carried out in a closed sterile workshop to prevent secondary pollution.
Spray Drying & Final Processing
The concentrated stevia liquid is finally made into powder through advanced centrifugal spray drying technology. By controlling the inlet air temperature (180–190℃) and outlet air temperature (85–95℃), the liquid material is instantly atomized into tiny droplets and dried into uniform fine powder in a short time. This drying method ensures the finished powder has good fluidity, high solubility, no agglomeration, and completely retains the biological activity and sweet characteristics of steviol glycosides.
After drying, the finished powder undergoes secondary screening, metal detection and sterile packaging. We provide customized packaging solutions (25kg kraft paper bags, vacuum aluminum foil bags) for B-end customers, with complete product inspection reports and certification documents to support global bulk shipping and customs clearance.
